Data that Lull reads
| Data | Purpose | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Text, author handle, and image descriptions of posts on x.com | Check each post against your filters | Stays in your browser. The on-device model reads it. |
| Images of posts on x.com (when "Check images" is on) | Read the text in the images | Stays in your browser. The text of the last 500 images stays in memory only. |
| Your settings and filters | Apply your filters | Chrome sync storage. Chrome syncs it to your other computers if Chrome sync is on. |
| Daily counts and the last 30 filtered posts (author handle, first 100 characters, reasons) | Show the activity in the popup | Local storage on this computer. Chrome does not sync it. |
| Posts saved for evaluation (author handle, post and quoted text, image descriptions and recognized text, and your labels), only when you turn on "Save checked posts for evaluation" (off by default) | Label posts and measure the filters | Local storage on this computer, up to 1,000 posts. Chrome does not sync it. Lull sends these posts nowhere. You can export them to a file yourself. |
Network requests
- Model weights. On first use, Lull downloads the AI models from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). The requests do not contain your data. The models stay in the browser cache.
- Post images. When "Check images" is on, Lull downloads the images of posts from the X image server (pbs.twimg.com) to read their text. These are the same images that x.com shows to you.
Lull makes no other network requests.
Sharing
Lull does not sell, transfer, or share your data. It does not use your data for advertising or for credit decisions.
